Eyelash extensions are semi-permanent cosmetic enhancements applied to your natural eyelashes to make them look longer, fuller, and darker. They’re widely used to enhance the eyes without needing mascara.
Taking care of your eyelash extensions begins with keeping them clean. Your lash cleaning routine will help to protect your eyelids against inflammation, known as blepharitis, and help keep your extensions fuller for longer.
Without regular cleansing, buildup from makeup, oil and debris will accumulate along your lash line. Over time, this buildup will weaken the adhesive bond between your natural lashes and eyelash extensions, causing them to fall out early. This leaves your lash line looking less full between fill appointments.
For beautiful, long-lasting lash extensions, follow our aftercare instructions for lash extensions:
There are four key steps to taking care of your eyelash extensions: prepping with makeup removal, cleansing, drying and brushing.
Cleaning your face with lash extension-safe products and combing your lashes on a daily basis should be part of your eyelash maintenance routine. Cleaning eyelashes with an extension-safe cleanser is recommended; we recommend Lash shampoo, our oil-free, paraben-free, gluten-free, vegan foamy lash cleanser.
At-home lash removal is not recommended. We recommend scheduling a professional lash extension removal session at XO Lash & Brow – Alpharetta to protect the integrity of your natural lashes.
Every few of weeks, your body naturally sheds roughly 20% of your natural lashes! When a natural lash sheds, the extension that was linked to it also sheds. That’s why we urge lash guests come in every two weeks for a refill appointment. Your stylist will check, replace, freshen, and fluff your lash extensions during this session.
At XO Lash & Brow, if you need to cancel your appointment, please let us know by call/ text at least 24 hours ahead of time. You will be considered a no-show for that appointment if you do not cancel within 24 hours of your planned appointment, and your card on file will be charged 50% amount of the scheduled service. Please leave a note on the salon’s voicemail if you need to cancel outside of office hours.
